Where Did the Year Go?

Seriously, it’s October? How? Why? More importantly, how the heck am I going to pay for Christmas and Birthday for Aralyn? I barely make enough to keep our heads above the water.

To make it worse, she’s developed a bad case of the Gimmie’s. Remember the Berenstein Bears Get the Gimmie’s book? We are so there, I can’t turn around without her saying “I want, I want”. These Gimmies are making me even more nervous because she’s at a terrible age where when presented with presents I’m afraid she just won’t be happy with what she gets, and more preoccupied with what she doesn’t get.

I’ve been making her dolls, but she has three store bought dolls, with blinky eyes and one coos and plays a lullabye. So I don’t even know if she’ll be happy with a homemade, floss-eyed doll even if it does come with a full wardrobe.

I hate being broke.
