I’m So Sick.. Part One

I want my computer back. I want my computer back. I want my fucking computer back. Maybe if I say it enough it will magically begin to work again. The last time I posted about my computer, it was some strange error that prevented my computer from loading past the initial Windows loading screen. That fixed itself. Now the problem hopefully lies in a fried battery adapter. However this terrible winter weather is delaying the UPS man from saving my sanity delivering the replacement. If I lose that computer I lose not only a 90% completed website for my freelance design venture, but about 95% of any photo ever taken of Aralyn never to be seen again. I’m not going to lie, I don’t have alot of money and printing thousands of photos off is unrealistic. Not that I haven’t learned my lesson. If I get my computer in working condition again I am drastically changing the way I store my data.

This is Part One of a several part series so that I can finally vent a little about what has happened since my computer issues started.

P.S. I’m So Sick is a song title from an incredible band named Flyleaf. Their entire self-titled album is absolutely INCREDIBLE. I haven’t been this infatuated with a band in a long damn time. Not to mention a female fronted rock band makes me pretty happy it’s own, but when they can actually rock? Oh wow.

P.S.S. I really am sick. I’ve been feeling it coming for days, well I feel like shit today. That and my monthly week of hell finally began. Perfect timing.

Good to see you online! Was hoping I would hear from you. Do you have an external hardrive? Great backup! Or you can burn your pics to dvd.

I don’t have an external backup but I have been lusting after one for months just in case something like this were to happen. I just want the UPS man to hurry and get here with the new adapter. I can’t stand the suspense.

Sorry you’re not feeling well. Sorrier still that you’re having laptop issues. Make sure you lay in a supply of CDR’s or DVD’s (if you can burn CDR’s or DVD’s) and burn your pics FIRST THING. If you don’t have that capacity, an external DVD-RW is not that expensive. Point is, external hard drives are good, and handy, but you need PERMANENT storage before you invest in something that is just as liable to break as your laptop is.
